I officially started Engen Landscaping in December of 1996 although I have been mowing since I could reach the middle support bar of the mower handle.  Working outside and improving and maintaining a property is something I have always enjoyed.

My wife and I are excited to be in our own home now in Clearview and have the freedom to customize our own yard.  My wife has a background in floral arrangement and has a great eye for design.  

We periodically have an opportunity to work together though responsibilities at home minimize those times.  The reason being we have been blessed with seven children!  The oldest is fourteen and the youngest is four.  Though there are rarely dull moments at our house it is pretty neat to see each of them grow and interact with each other and to see how unique each one of them is.  One of our favorite family activities is playing with water – in a lake, on the boat, or even just with sprinklers in the yard.  Engen Landscaping is a family business.  I get quizzed morning and night by my children all the way down – “How many jobs today dad?”  How many jobs did you get done today dad?”  We run the business out of our house and only have periodic part time help.

I am always on the job and can offer complete quality control that way.  Year round maintenance contracts are my specialty (as little as just the lawn but as much as everything outside the house) but I enjoy the extra work projects too.  It is always gratifying to see the beauty of freshly laid mulch, a renovated lawn coming in, or a sprinkler system working beautifully.
